Uganda Tourism Board Gets New Board
On Friday, the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Tom Butime, inaugurated the new members of the Board of Directors of Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).
The new Board of Directors are Hoareau Kakooza Pearl who is the Chairperson and members Olive Birungi Lumonya, Kebirungi Sally Sandra,  Mulinde Tony, Kiyimba Rashid, Kawamara Ronald Kazooba, and Operemo Vicent.
Others are Stephen Sany Masaba, Vivian Lyazi, Margaret Arach Ojara, and Lilly Ajarova, the entity’s Executive Director.
Butime thanked the outgoing board for the significant milestones reached to enhance Uganda’s global tourism appeal, preserving natural, and cultural heritage and driving sustainable tourism development.
“Their dedication and strategic guidance have been instrumental in positioning Uganda as a must-explore destination for travelers worldwide,” he said.
The tourism ministry Permanent Sectary, Doreen Katusiime, said the outgoing board has been instrumental in shaping UTB’s strategic direction and fostering collaboration across various stakeholders.
