Anite Launches Construction Of Shs277bn Industrial Park Project In Nakaseke
The State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization, Evelyn Anite, has launched the construction of a Shs277bn Namukenkera Kapeeka Industrial Park infrastructure project in Nakaseke.
Anite said the project will upgrade 33Kms of roads to the standard tarmac, and build an industrial wastewater plant among others. The park is employing Ugandans from across the country, she added.
 “Kapeeka Industrial Park serves as a thriving hub for 21 industries. Upon the completion of the infrastructure project, the number is expected to soar, housing over 80 factories hence expanding the industrial base and creating more employment opportunities,” Anite said.
The infrastructure construction project which sits on a 5.2 square mile park has road networks & sewerage treatment is funded by the government of Uganda and will be executed by National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), the commercial arm of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF).  Â
