UMA Focuses On Digital Transformation And Innovation At 29th Trade Fair
Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) is set to host its 29th Uganda International Trade Fair under the theme “Driving Manufacturing and Trade Efficiency through Digital Transformation and Innovation.”
The annual trade fair is slated for 3rd to 10th October 2023, at the UMA Show Grounds, Lugogo, in Kampala.
UMA told journalists that the highly billed trade fair promises to be a dynamic platform, spotlighting the latest in technological advancements and innovative practices shaping the global landscape of manufacturing and trade.
The trade fair emphasizes the pivotal role that technology plays in enhancing efficiency, boosting production capacity, creating employment opportunities, and fostering business growth, UMA said.
According to UMA, the event will provide a crucial platform for Ugandan SMEs to gain insight into the transformative potential of digital transformation and innovation.
It is estimated that the trade fair will host representatives from 30 countries. UMA said the trade fair presents a unique opportunity for networking and collaboration on an international scale.
The opening ceremony on 5th October will be graced by President Yoweri K. Museveni while Dr. Peter Mathuki, the Secretary General of the East African Community, is expected to officiate on the closing date.
