Raxio Uganda Pioneers Tier III Carrier Centre Service
Raxio Uganda’s first state of the art Tier III carrier-neutral data centre is in service, operating from the Kampala Industrial and Business Park (KIBP), Uganda.
The first of its kind in Uganda, Raxio Data Centre will be a centre-piece of infrastructure supporting Ugandan economic growth and digitalization. This carrier-neutral facility meets the international Tier III standard.
It houses around 400 racks and provides 1.5MW of IT power to ensure the equipment housed within it operates optimally, 24/7, in a safe, secure and redundant environment.
Raxio Data Centre in Uganda is a part of the wider Raxio Group, focused on investing in, building and operating world-class Tier III data centres across Africa.
Through its investments and hands-on approach, Raxio seeks to address the latent demand for critical data centre infrastructure that will drive digital transformation across the region.
It is a foundational stone underpinning the digital economy growth and connects Africa to the global data economy.
“Supported by a strong institutional investor base, the Raxio Group is on track to launch up to 12 carrier-neutral facilities across Africa within the next three years; we strongly believe that by providing the right technological infrastructure, our data centres will help drive economic growth, social development, and digital transformation throughout Africa,” the Raxio Group CEO, Mr Robert Mullins elaborated.

Sounds like some Ugandans need more information on how the Raxio investment helps in running a business; I hope it is not for the ‘educated’ only!
