PSFU, UFZA To Create Export Opportunities
The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) reveals it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uganda Free Zones Authority (UFZA). The MoU, PSFU said helps create opportunities for Export-oriented investment and job creation for the private sector.
“We believe that our roles are complementary, and therefore, our partnership will promote value addition & grow exports,” PFSU said briefly.
The PSFU is the apex body for the Private Sector in Uganda bringing together over 300 business associations, corporate bodies and the major public sector agencies that support private sector growth. It was founded in 1995 to strengthen the Private Sector’s capacity for effective policy advocacy and market competitiveness nationally, regionally and internationally.
The UFZA is a statutory body established to create opportunities for export-oriented investment and job creation. Free Zones are designated areas in Uganda where duty-free goods are stored, manufactured and or processed for export.
