Ugandan NGO Wins Award In India
The founder of Leela Foundation Uganda, Juhi Barot, received an award for the work she does to look after the elderly in Uganda. She received the award from the Governor of Utar Pradesh Anandiben Mafatbhai Patel in Visnagar Gujarat India.
Leela Foundation is an NGO that was founded in July 2019 in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Juhi teamed up with his father Harshad Barot to start the philanthropic organization.
Juhi, who was born in India but was raised in Uganda where his father had set up a prospering business empire believes that ‘service to humanity is service to God’. With this on her mind, Juhi decided to form Leela Foundation.
Leela Foundation has been actively involved in community services, education, philanthropy and many other humanitarian services throughout the country.
