Wagagai Gold Mining Project commissioned

Today, H.E the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni commissioned the Wagagai Gold Mining Project in Busia District, marking a milestone in Uganda’s journey towards local mineral processing and industrialization. With a target of 99.9% gold purity, the project is set to create over 5,000 jobs and generate more than $100 million annually for 21 years, significantly boosting Uganda’s economy.
We join in congratulating Wagagai Gold Mining on this achievement and echo the call for all mineral resources to be processed locally before export. By adding value to our gold, lithium, iron, and other resources, Uganda can create jobs, maximize revenue, and build a sustainable future.
