Recently, the School of Statistics and Planning has also worked closely with UNICEF to address urgent public health and socio-economic challenges. A recent example is the Socio-economic Impact Assessment of the 2022 Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in the affected districts.
Makerere University School of Public Health has also worked with UNICEF to address some of the pressing public health challenges. Since 2016, the collaboration has delivered 25projects spanning adolescent health, nutrition, newborn & maternal care, disease prevention, & health systems strengthening.
The Makerere University and UNICEF Uganda MOU reflects the university’s commitment to global expertise, local knowledge, and commitment, pledging to continue their collaboration and deepen its impact to ensure every child in Uganda has the opportunity to survive, thrive, and reach their full potential.
