Ugandans Sent To China To Study Petroleum Engineering
Ugandans Amanya Jean Remmy from Hoima district, Musinguzi RONALD from Kikuube district and Nanyunja Hadijah from Kampala are the three luck beneficiaries who will travel to China to study a petroelum engineering course courtesy of CNOOC Uganda International Scholarship Program.
Amanya, Musinguzi and Nanyunja pursue a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering at the China University of Petroleum-East China. CNOOC Uganda held a prestigious send-off ceremony for the three beneficiaries.
CNOOC said the purpose of this scholarship program is to enhance capacity building and skills development and to promote and ensure National Content participation in the oil and gas industry.
Amanya, one of the beneficiaries, emphasized the importance of education as a transformative tool for Uganda and the world. Amanya reaffirmed their dedication to academics.
Liu Xiangdong, the President of CNOOC Uganda Limited, expressed immense pride and honor in bidding farewell to these young scholars. He emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to education, capacity building, and national content development in Uganda.
