PSST Ramathan Ggoobi with the Executive Director Uganda Investment Authority Robert Mukiza
The Ministry of Finance’s Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury (PSST), Ramathan Ggoobi, visited the Kampala Industrial and Business Park (KIBP) in Namanve.
He inspected the ongoing infrastructure development works, an initiative designed to transform Uganda’s flagship industrial hub into a modern and fully serviced investment destination.
He appreciated the progress made, particularly in the roads and drainage systems, and urged the contractor to expedite the implementation and ensure the project’s completion on schedule.
The roads and utilities project is a strong foundation for Uganda’s industrialisation and economic transformation. Mukiza Robert, the Director General of Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), highlighted the significance of the project in boosting investor confidence.
They are now assured of smoother operations and reduced business costs. He reaffirmed UIA’s commitment to ensuring that KIBP, already home to hundreds of industries, becomes a world-class industrial park capable of attracting even large-scale and high-quality investments.
The Government of Uganda is dedicated to creating an enabling environment for business and has demonstrated the vital role of infrastructure in driving Uganda’s industrial growth, job creation, and overall socio-economic transformation.
