The Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury Mr. Ramathan Ggoobi launches Masheda Foods Factory, Buyaya Mityana Road

The Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury Ramathan Ggoobi over the weekend commissioned Masheda Foods Ltd Processing Factory located at Buyala along Mityana Road. The PSST commended the management of the Catfish processing company (adding value to catfish) for driving the growth of the aquaculture industry in Uganda and also contributing to the socio-economic transformation by creating jobs and processing catfish products for export. He applauded the Proprietors for aligning their investment with the Tenfold Growth Strategy.

Masheda Foods powdered products available in supermarkets

The Executive Director Masheda Foods, Anne Ampumuza in her remarks said the aquaculture industry is growing in Uganda, adding that the sector now contributes about 20% of the national fish production. The catfish products include: smoked fillet, smoked powder and sausages.
